Military review of the Reichswehr on the occasion of an official visit, 1928
On the occasion of the state visit of the former king of Afghanistan, Amanullah Khan also called Aman Ullah, the Reichswehr organized a military review. The Afghan king visited Berlin in 1928 to hold talks about economic relations. On the picture you can see dummy tanks made of wood, sheet and cardboard, which were mounted on bicycles and in the background a few soldiers. According to the Versailles Treaty the German troops could not possess real tanks, so they built such dummies for the maneuvers.
