Marianne Koch on her TV show Medizin Magazin
Marianne Koch celebrates her 70th birthday on August 19, 2001. Her career is remarkable: Until the 1970s, the dark-haired woman from Munich thrilled the cinema audience with her natural charm. Without any acting lessons, she stood in front of the camera next to film stars like Curd Juergens, Heinz Ruehmann and O.W. Fischer. Later, she was part of the panelists of TV classic "Was bin ich?". She received the Grimme Prize for her presentation of the talk show "III nach Neun". However, Marianne Koch found her personal fulfillment in a very different area: Overnight she decided against the show industry and a medical training. In 1985, she opened her own practice as an internist in Munich. "My best decision", says the mother of two sons to this day. Her experience in the media made Marianne Koch, who lives in Tutzing on Lake Starnberg, also a popular medical journalist and author. She will appear again as an actress on August 17, 2001 in the home comedy "Die Landaerztin" (ARD, 20.15 o'clock).
