Ernest Hemingway interviews captured Italian officers in Madrid, 1937

Third from the right, the Dutch documentary filmmaker and communist Joris Ivens (traveled with Hemingway). In the front, two guards with bayonets. Hemingway kam als Kriegsreporter nach Spanien. In Spanien drehte Joris Ivens den Film "The Spanish Earth" für den Hemingway den Kommentar geschrieben und gesprochen hat.
