Austro-Hungarian and German Troops enter Przemysl, 1914
After the recapture of Przemysls (Poland) in October 1914, German infantry and Hungarian Honved-hussars enter the city. During World War I the Russian troops layed siege to Przemysl twice, because of its important location for transportation. The first siege started on September 24th in 1914 and ended on October 11th in the same year. The second siege lasted from November 9th till March 1915 and ended with the Russian capture of the city. Austro-Hungarian and German troops were not able to recapture the city until June 1915.
