Exhibition 'Degenerate Art' in Munich
Photo from the exhibition 'Degenerate Art', which was shown at the Haus der Kunst in Munich. Under the defamatory term degenerate art, the National Socialists compiled the currents of modern art of the early 20th century. In the years 1937 and 1938 exhibitions took place for branding in Munich, Berlin and elsewhere. Among the artists concerned were Ernst Barlach, Otto Dix, Paul Klee, Emil Nolde and Marc Chagall.
