Hotel Tower in Augsburg

The 107 m - with antenna 158 m - high tower hotel in Augsburg was built at the beginning of the 70s and today is the symbol of the city. Because of its round balconies it is known by the Augsburger people as the "Maiskolben" (corncob). After extensive renovations the lower 12 floors and the 34th floor today houses a hotel of the Dorint AG hotel group, the remaining floors up to the 35th are divided in 329 apartments (undated picture).
