The Alpine World Ski Championships took place in Val Gardena between 7.2.1970 and 15.2.1970, and it had been the only World Cup so far, the results of which were included in the Alpine Ski World Cup. Photo of the French team moving into an ice rink, presumably the uncovered St. Ulrich stadium at that time. They wear futuristic-looking ski suits, decorated belts and peaked caps.
