The crew of a rescue helicopter taking an injured person on board to transport him in a hospital, the preceded accident happened in a mountainous region. These missions with rescue helicopters were pilot projects of the Luftrettung (air rescue service) of Bundeswehr, Bergwacht (mountain rescue service) and doctors of Munich hospitals. As of 01.11.1970 the Bundeswehr withdrew from the project, the ADAC stepped in and with "Christoph 1" established the first continuous operation of a (civilian) rescue helicopter.
