The refugee family Barmiske in their presumably self-built hut near Muenster. After the end of World War II they were probably expelled from Silesia and built their new lives here. The picture shows some of their children in bunk beds made of wood. The mother prepares her sons for bed. Die Familie lebte wohl bereits seit einigen Jahren in dieser Siedlungsbarracke. Diese Aufnahmen wurden wahrscheinlich anlässlich des Inkrafttretens der Genfer Flüchtlingskonvention im April 1954 gemacht.
