Broken truck on the Vistula Spit. At the beginning of February 1945, refugees attempt to flee across the ice of the Vistula Lagoon to the Vistula Spit to reach the Baltic Sea coast of Gdansk. The picture was taken by Theodor Vonolfen, a soldier of a Luftwaffe unit, deployed there at that time.
