Photo of Spanish national cadets on the roof of a house during the siege of the Alacazar of Toledo in the summer of 1936. Im Alcazar von Toledo verschanzten sich vom 21. Juli bis zur Befreiung durch nationalspanische Truppen am 26. September 1936 ca. 1500 Kämpfer gegen republikanische Verbände. Die Festung wurde durch Artilleriebeschuss und Bombardierungen fast vollständig zerstört.
