Photo of the patio and the arcades of the Alcazar of Toledo after its liberation by Spanish national troops after a two-month siege by the Republicans on September 26, 1936. Im Alcazar von Toledo verschanzten sich vom 21. Juli bis zur Befreiung durch nationalspanische Truppen am 26. September 1936 ca. 1500 Kämpfer gegen republikanische Verbände. Die Festung wurde durch Artilleriebeschuss und Bombardierungen fast vollständig zerstört.
