Following the accident on the Iller, in which 15 conscripts of the Luftlandebataillon 19 of the Bundeswehr died while crossing the Iller at Hirschdorf (St. Lorenz): Inspector General of the Bundeswehr Adolf Heusinger (l.) and German Defence Minister Franz Josef Strauss (r.) at the accident site. Das Unglück führte zur Gründung des Soldatenhilfswerks der Bundeswehr.
