Mountain troops of MG Battalion 10, who broke the pocket with about 200 men and supported the trapped soldiers in Kholm, while taking a break at a wooden hut. During the encirclement battle of Kholm the "Kampfgruppe Scherer" successfully defended the town for 105 days. (A photo of the Propaganda Company (PK) by war correspondent Richard Muck, who flew into the pocket at the beginning of March).
