Two German soldiers, a patrol leader and a messenger behind him, observe the enemy lines with binoculars. During the battle of Kholm, the "Kampfgruppe Scherer" successfully defended the town for 105 days. (A photo of the Propaganda Company (PK) by war correspondent Richard Muck, who flew into the pocket at the beginning of March).
