The enclosed soldiers of the Wehrmacht in Kholm receive airdrops. They are supplied with ammunition, weapons, equipment and food in the encircled town. During the Kholm Pocket the "Kampfgruppe Scherer" successfully defended the city for 105 days. (A photo of the PK (Propaganda Company) by war correspondent Richard Muck who flew into the pocket at the beginning of March).
