A soldier of the Wehrmacht symbolically lights the torches of the Alter Kaempfer ("Old Fighters") at the inauguration of the Pasewalk Memorial by Rudolf Hess. The memorial was erected because Hitler, as he describes in "Mein Kampf", decided to become a politician in a military hospital in Pasewalk.
