The magazine Simplicissiumus published a caricature of Adolf Hitler on the title page. It shows him as a triumphator on a white horse in front of the Brandenburg Gate. He holds a baton in his hand and is crowned with a laurel wreathby an angel. Next to his horse runs the politician Friedrich Ebert in chains.
