During the January uprising, there were armed conflicts between left-wing revolutionaries and government-loyal Freikorps units in the Berlin Zeitungsviertel (newspaper quarter). Here is a barricade reconquered by the government troops in front of the "Mossehaus" in the Schuetzenstrasse.
