This photograph shows soldiers of the Roten Arbeiterwehr (Red Workers' Army) at the site where Kurt Eisner was murdered. They demand a harsh punishment for the killer Eisner by the People's Court. The appeal was signed by the Provincial Councilor Paul Simon. Eisner was assassinated by the student Anton Graf von Arco auf Valley from the environment of the Thule Society. Eisner was the leader of the November Revolution in Munich and proclaimed the Bavarian Republic a free state. The Versammlung der Arbeiter- und Soldatenraete (Assembly of Workers' and Soldiers' Council) elected him as Bavarian Prime Minister.
