Funeral of the USPD politician and Bavarian Minister President Kurt Eisner at the Munich East Cemetery. This photograph shows the mourners in front of the morgue. On 21.02.1919 Eisner was assassinated by the student Anton Graf von Arco auf Valley from the environment of the Thule Society. Eisner was the leader of the November Revolution in Munich and proclaimed the Bavarian Republic a free state. The Versammlung der Arbeiter- und Soldatenraete (Assembly of Workers' and Soldiers' Council) elected him as Bavarian Prime Minister.
