In a railway carriage in the clearing of Rethondes near Compiegne, representatives of the Allied and Associated Powers and the German Reich, headed by Marshal Ferdinand Foch (2nd from right) and Erzberger signed an agreement which provided for the discontinuation of armed conflicts. 2nd fom the left, French General Maxime Weygand.
