Wherever Adolf Hitler appeared in public he was escorted by his honor guard made up of SS soldiers from the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler led by Sepp Dietrich. So many volunteered for this regiment that they could implement the most severe selection criteria of all the Nazi organizations.
