On December 1, 1925 the German Reich, France, Belgium, Great Britain, and Italy signed the Locarno treaty which was drafted during the Locarno Conference (October 5-16, 1925) and which provided for a security system for Western Europe. The photo shows the Reich Foreign Minister Gustav Stresemann and Reich Chancellor Hans Luther at the signing of the treaties in the assembly hall of the London Foreign Office.
