The party and state leadership of the GDR celebrates the 25th anniversary of the erection of the Berlin Wall with a so-called Kampfappell (Battle Roll Call). Several thousand of members of the Combat Groups of the Working Class march by the VIP stand in the Karl-Marx-Allee in East Berlin.
